What If?

“I want you to know that I will stay right by your side through all this and I will love you with hair, and without it.”

Clint’s words plucked at my heartstrings as we talked about this new territory we’ve suddenly entered called, “breast cancer”. We have crossed many, many miles together, traveling our nation and abroad helping marriages in need. And now it’s time to climb up a very steep and rugged mountain over the coming year.

No doubt we will meet new spouses in need along the way. We already have in just the few short weeks we’ve been going to appointments at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Goodyear, AZ. We thank God that He relocated us to AZ in 2017, knowing this amazing facility would only be ten minutes from our home. And although we know this particular trip may prove to be the most difficult, we are believing God’s promises to bring forth beauty and purpose.

So let me ask you: Are you traveling into a new territory? Perhaps it’s a trip you never wanted to take. We get it. But, what if this unwanted journey contains the very territory that will give birth to blessings like hope, freedom, and joy?

What if?

“When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.” Psalm 84:6 NLT

Amazing amazing post!!! The best. God is allowing yet another painful life experience not be wasted in self pity but in tasteful transparency writing that speaks to the hearts of those who need it. Love you.
